Who is this BIG WHALE?

How does one start a blog? What is the first, right thing to say? I'm torn between trying to just introduce myself like meeting new people, 'Hey, my name is Mira. Nice to meet you.' but I'm not entirely sure who I am talking to right now. Should I begin to explain myself with why and how or what is this blog all about?

Maybe both.

So, my name is Mira. Ever since I was a kid, everyone knew me as this really talkative kid. I've had plenty of nicknames to go by because of that lol. So, talking, story-telling has always been something I'm excited about. I usually tweet a lot about my opinions or my views in the current state of my life on Twitter. I hardly ever do Facebook cause, let's face it I only post on my successes there. Just to rub it off on some auntie's face. JK. That's not the point.

Where was I?

Right.

In this advance world, yes we have Twitter and Facebook and Instagram to be a blogger or lash out our opinions, but somehow I feel like Twitter is a constant battlefield of opinions. Rebuttals after rebuttal. No joke, Twitter is a debating platform. Well, I don't want to debate. I just want to write. Thus, the birth of this big whale.

The point is I needed a proper platform and I believe this could be the best option for me. I do have to warn that I am a nobody whose opinion probably wouldn't matter anyway but I just want to let it out. There's a part of me that feels suffocated if I don't, like it's an incoming word vomit.

Also, I want this blog to be my shower thoughts blogs haha. You know, all those shower thoughts, life revelation, life lessons you get in showers. It's the best moment ever. ISTG, if I can actually film a movie in the shower, it would be a short film already. So, lots of random thoughts going around here.

Besides that, I am a hugeeee cinephile. I go for movies almost EVERY WEEK. If it's not a new movie, I would be rewatching my favourite movie of that week. So, I do have critical points that I focus on when I watch a movie. The best thing about movies is that it's not just entertainment, it's messages, a delivery. Something more than just to make you feel good, but sometimes things that makes you wonder at night. Personally, I've had moments in my life where I genuinely feel affected by a movie I watch. To name one out of many, is my ultimate favourite movie titled 'Atonement'. No other movie could hurt me as bad as 'Atonement' did. Since I feel deeply towards movies that I watch, I feel like it's only fitting I compile my thoughts about them here.

I am also, a reader. I can't say I'm an avid reader but I read when I have the mood to. I read quite a number of books and it is actually one of my favourite things to do. One of my goal for 2019 is actually to start reading more non-fiction piece. Personally, I have never done a book review on a book before. After reading, I would usually have only two opinions. Whether it's good or just bad.

I'm not sure if everything that I've written is the right way to blog. To be very honest, I have no idea on how to blog. I'm just gonna... write and see where it goes.
